A single tulip keeps its yellow heart... The same field. The same bloom at the center. In this version, every tulip around it has gone cool and white, their forms soft and rounded against the dark background. The one flower that opened first holds its yellow warmth at the center of the frame, steady and unhurried, the only color left in the field.
Dawnbreak 002 Solace is the second version of the final print in the Meji Explore Series. Of the four emotional states in this series, Solace is the warmest. It is not about absence or quiet so much as about finding the one thing that stays. The bloom that arrived early and remained itself when everything around it faded.
